How frequently does the Mobile-310 report?
The Mobile-310 is typically set to report its location between 1 to 4 times per day. The initial report time can be set (ie the tracker can be set to report 4x per day starting at 11:00am). The standard reporting intervals are: 1 - every 24 hours/ 2- every 12 hours/ 3- every 8 hours/ 4- every 6 hours
In order to achieve a long battery life, the device goes into a sleep mode between reports. This means any commands being sent will not be received until its next scheduled report.
If you need to, you can change the reporting period to every minute or every 5 minutes. This mode is helpful if your tracker is lost and you need to recover it. -
Will the Mobile-310 trigger a geofence?
Yes, however, geofences alerts are triggered differently on the Mobile-310 than realtime trackers. When an alert is triggered for a geofence, a device has to REPORT either inside or outside of the geofence in order to send an alert.

The rear button can be used as a tamper alert button. Once the device is placed on the magnetic side, the button will be pressed in and you can the turn tamper alert on. If the device is removed, the button will pop out, initiating the alert. This function can be disabled, so the button does not trigger any alert.

If the device has a triggered tamper button, the device will go into 30 second reporting and use up extensive battery life.
The device also has two modes it can be put in "Report every minute for the next 30 minutes" and "Report every 5 minutes for the next 4 hours". These will take 4% and 5% of the battery life respectively.
