Overview

The wait is finally over! You’ve received your Logistimatics GPS tracker and you’re ready to rock-and-roll! The first step, of course, is to activate your new device. If you have not yet completed this step, please do so by visiting our activation page. Once your tracker has been activated, you’re ready to start tracking. Now, the fun begins!

Albeit, you may be curious as to what the commands mean, or what occurs when they are prompted. Not to worry,  this article is meant to provide further insight into the interactive commands that you’ll be using with your device(s).

There are two (2) ways to view tracker commands:

  1. Open the Logistimatics mobile app > select your tracker > from the bottom menu, tap ‘Commands’  > in the upper-righthand corner, tap ‘New’
  2. Navigate to https://gps.logistimatics.com/ > log in to your user account > select your tracker > from the menu, select ‘Commands’ (click the window icon)

Asset-422 Commands

Asset-422 GPS Tracker with 3 Year Battery
COMMANDACTION
Asterisks ( * ) indicate default/recommended settings. 
Reporting Frequency 
Sleep, report every 24 hours *The tracker will remain idle and report its location once per day. (~ 3-year battery life)
Sleep, report every 12 hoursThe tracker will remain idle and report its location 2x per day. (~ 1 ½-year battery life)
Sleep, report every 6 hoursThe tracker will remain idle and report its location 4x per day. (~ 9-month battery life)
Stay awake, report every 2 minutesThe tracker will remain active and report its location every 2 minutes. (Battery-intensive, choose sleep mode to disable)
Stay awake, report every 15 minutesThe tracker will remain active and report its location every 15 minutes. (Battery-intensive, choose sleep mode to disable)
  
Movement Detection 
Turn off movement detection*The tracker will not report when motion is detected.
Turn on movement detectionThe tracker will report when motion is detected.
  
Removal Alarm 
Removal alarm off*The tamper sensor will not send an alert if the tracker is removed from the mount. 
Removal alarm onThe tamper sensor will send an alert within 3 seconds if the tracker is removed from the mount.
  
Temperature Alarm 
Disable temperature alarm*The sensor will not send alerts when temperature excursion occurs. 
Alert when above 4º CThe sensor will send an alert when the temperature is above 4º C (~39º F).
Alert when outside 2-4º CThe sensor will send an alert when the temperature is below 2º C (~36º F) or above 4º C (~39º F).
Alert when above -18º CThe sensor will send an alert when the temperature is above -18º C (~0º F).  
  
Light Sensor 
Turn light sensor offThe sensor will be disabled and will not send alerts when light or darkness is detected. 
Alert when light detectedThe sensor will send an alert when light is detected. 
Alert when darkness detectedThe sensor will send an alert when darkness is detected. 
  
Specialty Configuration 
Disable power buttonThe power button will be unresponsive and will no longer power the tracker ON/OFF unless the ‘Enable power button’  command is sent.
Send temperature every hourThe temperature sensor will alert the user with the current temperature once every hour. 
Enable power buttonThe power button will be responsive and will power the tracker ON/OFF unless the ‘Disable power button’  command is sent.
Reset battery percentage to 100%The battery percentage will be reset to 100%. (Use only after the battery has been replaced)

Get GPS locationThe tracker will fetch a Google Maps link providing the coordinates of its current location. (May take up to 2 minutes)
Go into repo mode for next hour, reporting every 2 minutesThe tracker will be prompted to fetch location data every 2 minutes over a period of 1 hour.
Go out of repo modeThe tracker will discontinue 2-minute reporting.

Alert every 30 minutes when voice detectedWhen enabled, the tracker will listen to its surroundings and notify the user if a voice has been detected in the last 30 minutes. 
Set SOS numbersThe user will be prompted to set up the primary SOS number(s) to be linked to the tracker. (Required for Live Audio)
Check SOS numbers The tracker will check for programmed SOS numbers and respond with the numbers that have been linked to it.

Reporting 
Every 30 seconds when moving, odometer enabled*The tracker will report its location in real-time every 30 seconds while in motion. (Recommended for cars)
Every 2 minutes when movingThe tracker will report its location every 2 minutes while in motion. 
Every 30 minutesThe tracker will report its location once every 30 minutes. (Recommended for shipment tracking)
Every 1 hourThe tracker will report its location once every 60 minutes. (~ 12-day battery life; recommended for shipment tracking)
Every 2 hoursThe tracker will report its location once every 2 hours. (~ 17-day battery life)
  
 Power Button and LEDs 
Power button: enabled, LEDs normalThe power button can be used to power the device ON/OFF. LEDs will blink occasionally while the tracker is turned on.  
Power button: disabled, LEDs off after boot (Stealth Mode)The power button can be used only to power the tracker ON. To power the tracker off, the power button must be enabled again using the required command. LEDs will not blink once the tracker is turned on.
  
Miscellaneous Commands 
Request updated GPS positionThe tracker will fetch a Google Maps link providing the coordinates of its current location. (May take up to 2 minutes)
  
Specialty Configuration 
Report every 50 meters/30 seconds when moving, odometer enabledThe tracker will be configured to report its location every 50 meters – also reporting every 30 seconds – while in motion
Every 15 minutes The tracker will report its location once every 15 minutes. (Recommended for animals)
Reset odometerThe tracker’s internal odometer will be reset to 0.
  
Roaming Configuration 
Roam internationally (2G and CAT-M)*To continue reporting efficiently, the tracker will access roaming capabilities once it travels outside the continental United States.
Roam in USA and select countries (CAT-M only)The tracker will access roaming capabilities while inside the United States. (Warning: This configuration may cause the tracker to not report at all outside the United States)

Cancel removal alarmThe alert that is triggered when the tracker is dismounted will be silenced.
Turn on removal alarm The tamper button will be enabled. The user will be notified if the tracker is removed from its mount.
Turn off removal alarmThe tamper button will be disabled. The user will not be notified if the tracker is removed from its mount.

Phone Behavior
Turn off all lights, sound, incoming callsThe LED lights will be disabled, the ringer silenced, and the tracker will block all incoming calls.
Enable calls to trackerIncoming calls to the tracker are answered by pressing the SOS button.
Disable calls to trackerThe tracker will not accept incoming calls; the SOS button will be unresponsive.
Flash lights, play soundLED lights will illuminate on the tracker and its ringer will sound.
