Unboxing Your Road Wired

Inside the Road Wired box, you will find:

  • Road Wired GPS tracker

  • Wiring with a modular connector

  • SIM Card (installed in tracker)

  • Getting started guide

To get started with your tracker, follow these simple steps:

Before installing your Road Wired, consider the optimal location to wire the tracker into your vehicle or equipment. You must have access to a power source. Typical vehicle placement is underneath the dashboard, under a seat or in the glove box. Avoid under the hood or in the trunk.

Steps

The road wired comes with a wiring harness, the black wire is the ground, and this can be connected to the negative terminal of the battery. The red wire is 12v constant power, this can be connected directly to the battery. The yellow and orange wires can be ignored.

Note: If you are uneasy about the installation process, we suggest entrusting the task to a mechanic.
