Backend Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Backend Software Engineer with a proven track record of shipping product to help define the GPS processing backend which serves our web and mobile apps. As one of the early engineers, you’ll have an outsized impact on everything from product to team culture.

In the first few months, you will help us launch our rebranded mobile app, web app, and eCommerce site. A large part of the work will be understanding and optimizing the user journey and metrics of our existing applications which already serve 45K+ MAUs.

Our tech stack is all Postgres, Node.js, and GraphQL with a sprinkling of AWS Lambda and SQS.

What you’ll get to do

In the first few months, you will be optimizing the data processing pipelines, user data models, and metrics collection for our mobile app, web app, and eCommerce site.  Each of these existing apps serves 10’s to 100’s of thousands of users a month and our rebranded versions will form the basis of our growth for years to come.  We also currently process 10M+ GPS tracker messages a day.

Create and maintain as scalable backend which will support our continued growth of thousands of trackers a month.

Be intimately involved in setting development priorities and product direction.

Work with talented, easy-going developers who understand that the top priority is serving customers.

What success looks like in this role

Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience as a developer, crafting and coding tight, understandable server code. 

Multiple years experience with SQL a requirement.

Experience building APIs using REST or GraphQL.

Intimate knowledge of Postgres a major plus. Have you written row-level security policies? Know the extensions supported by AWS Aurora?

Strong desire to solve problems simply, quickly, and with a minimum of fuss.

Experience building on AWS.

Customer Success Rep

Logistimatics is hiring a full-time Customer Success Rep. This position handles phone calls, chat requests and customer support tickets and interacts with customers and internal teams.

This is a full-time position in our downtown Greensboro office.
